Since 1966, Valle Verde has remained Santa Barbara's leading continuing care retirement community by staying focused on what's ahead for senior living, and applying innovation to deliver a lifestyle that empowers each individual resident to maximize enjoyment of their retirement years.

We recently earned reaccreditation by CARF-CCAC, making it now more than 20 consecutive years that we've met their strict standards for accreditation - standards that fewer than 1 in 5 of all the continuing care retirement communities in the country achieve. While we're proud of the achievement, we feel it's exactly what our residents deserve.

Our reaccreditation also recognized the implementation of green practices throughout our community - a growing priority for leadership, staff and residents of Valle Verde.

Our commitment to excellence is a reflection of our owner and manager - ABHOW - a trusted nonprofit organization that since 1949 has been enhancing the independence, well-being and security of older people through the provision of housing, health care and supportive services.

ABHOW has consistently shown profound respect for the spirit, curiosity and diversity of the seniors they serve. Known for stability, integrity, ethical behavior, and for pioneering leadership in the senior living industry, ABHOW helped establish the now widely accepted model of the continuing care retirement community (CCRC).
