We're building the future of Santa Barbara retirement living.

Since the inception of our senior living community in 1966, we've continually worked to anticipate and satisfy the expectations and needs of Santa Barbara's seniors. Over the years, we've responded to older adults' changing expectations by expanding Valle Verde's resident capacity, making capital improvements, creating new community amenities, and adding services and accommodations for assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing.

And now, we're exceeding expectations again. We're unveiling the newest senior living option to be offered in Santa Barbara in 30 years.

We're adding to our campus new residence options and enhancing numerous community amenities, all while respecting the integrity of our campus and remaining within conditional use limits set by the City of Santa Barbara.

The Valle Verde Master Plan creates:

  • 40 new single-story homes
  • Renovations and enhancements to community amenities, including the poolside bistro, fitness center and wellness clinic
  • Additional parking spaces to reduce street parking on Calle de los Amigos

Through the Master Plan, 66% of our acreage will be set aside for open space and landscaping, including a 9.8-acre oak woodland preserve.
